A San Francisco Superior Court Jury found the CHP 911 dispatch center “grossly negligent” in mishandling a deadly trucking accident. The mishandling of the 2003 call was a factor in the death of Richard Housley, who was crushed between the truck and trailer of the truck he was driving. The jury determined that 911 dispatch center departed from its standard procedures when they failed to call an ambulance, yet reported one was on its way.
