Comments Off

Lead-based interior-paint was a major concern back when I was a child. Although yesterday’s mother was probably not too concerned about finding their kids gnawing on walls, today’s mother has much to worry about, given the abundance of lead paint in children’s toys, Earlier this week, Jo-Ann Fabric recalled their “Robbie Duckyâ„¢ Kids Water Can after discovering toxic levels of lead. Toys “R” Us made a similar announcement after discovering lead paint in their “Imaginarium” Wooden Coloring Cases.

Each week, it seems like another company recalls one of its toys, manufactured in China, because it contains toxic levels of lead. The issue is that China lacks the same restrictions against lead that the United States enjoys. While it is not be practical to change foreign laws, you can keep your family safe by consulting this blog for up-to-date recalls.
